Today is my lucky day--who knew Friday the 13th could be so lucky. I received the call today at 2:30 pm that I have a referral for a beautiful 2 week old little girl waiting for me in Ethiopia. Her name is Redet and I am in love. She has big brown eyes and lots of hair. I will know more in the next few weeks as her information comes in. According to Ethiopian law, I am not allowed to post her picture until after I have custody of her, which will be at least 4-5 months.
Now, I will wait for her medicals, then officially accept her referral. After that, she needs to remain in the orphange for 3 months, then we go to court. Once we pass court, we can travel in approxiamtely a month.
I am excited beyone words.
